Following the huge success of the inaugural MILO Hidup Bola Futsal Carnival in 2006, the event dedicated to Under 16 teams kicked off again this year .The first leg was held over the weekend at the Sports Planet Ampang with a record 140 teams participating far exceeding the target of 128 teams.
Teams as far as Ipoh and Melaka were also in action to grab some of the attractive prizes at stake and qualify for the Grand Finals.The top 4 teams of the 1st leg namely B'Zangkas FC,Cincai FC, MindaMahir FC and Sains Boys FC qualified for the Grand Finals to be held on the 22nd July 07 to be held at the same venue-Sports Planet Ampang.
The Final match was exciting and keenly contested with B'Zangkas FC beating Cincai FC 2-0. MindaMahir FC took the 3rd spot beating Sains Boys FC narrowly 1-0.
The top 4 teams won prize money of RM1000, RM800, RM600 and RM500 respectively. The winning teams also received MILO Hidup Bola commemorative futsal balls and a complete set of jerseys and balls from Figos, the official ball of the event.
MILO took the initiative to organize a 45 minute coaching clinic followed by a friendly game between 2 Under 12 Invitational schools teams as a curtain raiser before the Grand Finals.The crowd and parents were entertained to some great futsal display by these kids. SRK Seri Setia Kuchai Lama beat Academy Sri Labuan 1-0. Both teams went back winners with MILO medals and MILO hampers. The kids truly had a memorable time.
This Under 12 friendly will be a common feature in all the other 13 legs to be held all over the country.

"We are very happy with the great start to this MILO Hidup Bola Futsal Carnival. Our objective is to provide opportunities to the youth below 16 years to unleash their futsal skills, enjoy the atmosphere of the event, promote good sports values and make new friends through sports. This response augurs well for the other 13 legs.We are happy too that both the FAM and the National Fitness Council have endorsed our event with FAM indicating talent spotting on the promising children for its national junior futsal squads.
The response is overwhelming.About 65% of the entries of the remaining 13 legs including Sabah and Sarawak have been confirmed. I appeal to teams to register early to avoid disappointment. The next leg will be held on the 21st April (Sat) at the Melaka Sports Planet,Taman Teknologi Cheng in Melaka. The top 2 teams for the 2nd leg in Melaka will qualify for the Grand Finals which will comprise 32 of the best teams from all over the country. Entry fees are low at only RM50 per team.All teams will receive free souvenir MILO t-shirts and MILO drinks."
