Following the huge success of the inaugural MILO Hidup Bola Futsal Carnival in 2006, the event dedicated to Under 16 teams kicked off again this year .The 5th leg was held over the weekend at the Sarawak Sports Centre Kuching Sarawak with a record 70 teams participating far exceeding the target of 48 teams.
The top 2 teams of the 5th leg namely “War’s 15 Generasi” FC and Tabuan Jaya Sports School qualified for the Grand Finals to be held on the 22nd July 07 to be held at Sports Planet Ampang, Selangor DE.
The Final match was exciting and keenly contested with “War’s 15 Genarasi” FC beating Tabuan Jaya Sports School 3-1. The 3rd position was won by Gang Eight FC beating Nurbia FC convincingly 5-1.
It was interesting to note that a good number of the teams were formed by parents and coaches from football academies and residents associations.
The top 4 teams won prize money of RM1000, RM800, RM600 and RM500 respectively. The winning teams also received MILO Hidup Bola commemorative futsal balls and a complete set of jerseys and balls from Figos, the official ball of the event.

MILO took the initiative to organize a 45 minute coaching clinic followed by a friendly game between 2 Under12 Invitational schools teams as a curtain raiser before the Grand Finals. The crowd and parents were entertained to some great futsal display by these kids. Akademi Abo Junior FC beat beat Akademi Flet Labuan FC 1-0 in the Under 12 Friendly.
Both teams went back winners with MILO medals and MILO hampers. The kids truly had a memorable time. This Under 12 friendly will be a common feature in all the other 9 legs to be held all over the country.
Said Mr Ng Ping Loong, Sports Marketing Manager –MILO “We are very happy with good response to this MILO Hidup Bola Futsal Carnival now into its 6th of the 14 legs covering all states in Malaysia. I am confident all state entries will exceed our targets which augurs well for the development of the game. The show of support from parents and friends is good. I am impressed by the spirit of fairplay and sportsmanship & good skills displayed by most teams. Our objective is to provide opportunities to the youth below 16 years to unleash their futsal skills, enjoy the atmosphere of the event, promote good sports values and make new friends through sports. We are happy too the both the FAM and the National Fitness Council has endorsed our event with FAM has indicating that it would do some talent spotting of promising children for its national junior futsal squads.
The response for the remaining 9 legs is overwhelming. About 70% of the entries of the remaining 9 legs have been confirmed. I appeal to teams to register early to avoid disappointment. The 6th leg will be held on the 20th May (Sunday) Sunway Sports Planet, Subangf Jaya, Selangor DE. Entry fees are low at only RM50 per team. All teams will receive free souvenir MILO t-shirts and MILO drinks.”
Mr Yeap Siew Lim,Branch Manager of Nestle Sarawak presented the prizes to the winners.
