MILO® ENERGY FOR
GOOD 2025

Since its establishment in 2012, the CAREton Project has successfully recycled over 5,400 tonnes of used beverage cartons, which is equivalent to more than 450 million UHT packs. These recycled materials, such as PolyAl panels and roof tiles, have been instrumental in various construction projects, including the creation of sheltered walkways, roof repairs, and the construction of homes for underprivileged communities, including the Orang Asli.

This year, we are excited to extend our efforts to the younger generation, specifically our school children.

Introducing MILO® Energy for Good, our brand new campaign designed to inspire and engage the younger generation in embracing a circular economy. Through the combined power of recycling and sports, we aim to create a conducive environment for children to learn and play, fostering a sustainable future for all.

The Careton Project

The CAREton Project

Since 2012, in partnership with Tetra Pak Malaysia, collected over 5,400 tonnes of used beverage cartons (equivalent to over 450 million UHT packs) from more than 700 drop-off points nationwide to be recycled into Polyethlene & Aluminium (PolyAl) materials used for roof sheets and panel boards. This initiative has played a vital role in improving the living conditions of underprivileged and special communities by providing access to these sustainably produced building materials.

The CAREton Project School Outreach

Launched in 2019, the CAREton Project School Outreach is a nationwide recycling campaign that engages over 600 schools in collecting and recycling used beverage cartons (UBCs). Students learn the "flip, flap, flat" method to clean and flatten cartons for proper recycling. Collected UBCs are turned into polyAl panel boards and roofing tiles, later donated to Orang Asli communities. Drop-off points with partners help support ongoing collection and recycling efforts.

East Coast Expansion

As part of the next step for the CAREton project, MILO® Energy For Good was introduced, launching in five incubator schools on the East Coast, including SK Durian Burung in Terengganu. These schools are equipped with flood-resistant facilities and sports equipment specifically designed for monsoon-prone areas, creating a conducive environment for students to learn and engage in sports

MILO® Energy for Good School Expansion

This year, we're expanding our reach to 201 pilot schools across Malaysia—encouraging primary school students to take an active role in creating cleaner, greener school environments. This program also aims to instill recycling habits among students, raise their environmental awareness, and highlight the lasting impact of recycling—starting with their used MILO® UHT packs.
